Great colour but more shimmery than the picture

Great colour but not quite as glittery as I expected, the finish looks more of a shimmer. However, I've only painted it on my sample stick so it may differ on real nails. I still really like the colour though.

How do I apply No. 165 Delphinium Drama without visible brush strokes?

Shimmer and metallic particles settle between uses. To mix them, do what nail techs do: hold the bottle by the cap, turn it upside down, and tap the base firmly against your palm a few times. Shaking can force gel out through the neck, and rolling the bottle barely moves the particles.

The particles line up with the direction of your brush, so stroke marks can show. Apply thin coats in long, even strokes from cuticle to tip, and finish each coat with one light pass in the same direction. Cure 60 seconds per coat.

Can I wear No. 165 Delphinium Drama with a matte top coat?

Yes, but it changes the look. Matte top coat flattens shine across the whole nail, so the shimmer softens into a satin, velvety sheen instead of catching the light.

For the full sparkle, use the glossy S&L Gel Top Coat. Both versions are the same formula, so the choice only affects the finish.

What else do I need to apply No. 165 Delphinium Drama?
