Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get even glitter coverage with No. 100 Gold Rush?

Glitter settles to the bottom of the bottle between uses. To mix it, do what nail techs do: hold the bottle by the cap, turn it upside down, and tap the base firmly against your palm a few times. Shaking can force gel out through the neck, and rolling the bottle barely moves settled glitter.

Apply with a dabbing motion rather than long strokes. That spreads the particles evenly instead of dragging them to the tip. Build in thin coats, curing 60 seconds each. For a denser look, layer over a solid gel color in a similar shade rather than adding extra coats.

Is glitter gel harder to remove?

Yes, it takes more patience. Glitter particles don't dissolve, so remover has to work through the gel around them.

File through the top coat and lightly into the glitter layer first so the remover can reach it, then give it more time than a plain color. Gently push off softened gel and repeat on stubborn spots. Don't scrape: forcing it off is what thins the nail.

What else do I need to apply No. 100 Gold Rush?

Three things besides the color. S&L Gel Base Coat bonds the color to your natural nail. S&L Gel Top Coat (no-wipe) seals it and adds shine. And an LED or UV lamp cures each layer, because gel polish doesn't air-dry.

If you're starting from scratch, the S&L Gel Nail Starter Kit includes all three, plus prep tools and remover.
