Rustic romance

I bought this item because I read on a blog that the S&L nail kit is the best one in terms of staying power and that it will last for weeks compared to other brands out there. I had previously just bought cheap gels from Amazon which chipped after a day.
I’m really disappointed because I was expected this to last me at least two weeks but I found after 3 days they began chipping and after 10 days all of them had come off. I was expecting a lot more from this unfortunately.

The kit itself is good, nice and compact and cute.

It's a sheer jelly gel polish, translucent by design: one coat gives a soft wash of color, and each extra coat deepens it, but your natural nail and free edge stay visible underneath.

That see-through quality is what creates the glassy jelly look. If you want solid coverage, choose an opaque S&L shade instead.

What is jelly gel polish?

Jelly gel polish is a translucent gel polish: tinted like a color, see-through like glass. "Jelly" describes the look and "gel" describes the formula, so it applies, cures, and removes like any gel polish, with a base coat, top coat, and an LED or UV lamp.

Because it's sheer, it shows every change in thickness. Keep each coat thin and even, cure 60 seconds between layers, and build to the depth you want. S&L Soft Builder Gel underneath smooths out ridges a jelly would otherwise show.

What else do I need to apply No. 106 Rustic Romance?

Three things besides the color. S&L Gel Base Coat bonds the color to your natural nail. S&L Gel Top Coat (no-wipe) seals it and adds shine. And an LED or UV lamp cures each layer, because gel polish doesn't air-dry.
