S&L Beauty Co. wasn't born in a boardroom; it started at a nail station. While I was a student, I spent my days working part-time as a professional nail technician. Thousands of hours spent listening to clients, prep-padding nail plates, and seeing exactly where "standard" gel polishes failed.
I saw the chipping, the dulling, and the frustration of DIY kits that promised the world but delivered a mess. I knew there was a gap between the expensive luxury salon brands and the low-quality bottles found on discount sites.
Sourcing with a Procurement Mindset
After transitioning into a career in global procurement, my perspective shifted. I realized that beauty isn't just about the "look"—it’s about the supply chain, the chemistry, and the vetting process. I founded S&L to bridge that gap. I applied my professional procurement discipline to the beauty world, personally vetting manufacturers to ensure every bottle of S&L gel polish meets the highest standards for viscosity, self-leveling, and pigment density.
