Who this kit is for
First-time DIYers. You've never done gel and don't want to buy six things from five brands to find out if you like it. Everything here is matched to work together, so if a set goes wrong you can actually diagnose why.
Gift Buyers. Complete system, gift-ready packaging, and the free color you think they would like. Popular for birthdays, holidays, Mother's Day, and graduations.
Anyone who can't get to a salon on schedule. New parents, shift workers, students, and anyone outside easy reach of a good salon. A full set takes about 25 minutes at your kitchen table.
What it actually costs compared with the salon
A basic gel manicure runs $30–$60, every two to three weeks. This kit contains enough base, top coat, and color for roughly 25 full manicures.
Two salon visits and it's paid for. Everything after that is the cost of one bottle of polish.

I was actually very, very impressed with the product having a little trouble with securing follow the instructions, but I’ve only done it once so I’ll try again. It’s only a little bit not a lot. The only thing I would suggest is having the instructions printed larger cause the printing is so tiny you have to magnify it however, I do appreciate you trying to save space and and paper, but it would be nice to see it at least at a medium size so I’m going to be ordering. I think I have to go back to the video I was watching for thinning nails theirs is. so I’m going to be ordering. I think I have to go back to the video I was watching for thinning nails there’s a different type of gel. According to what I’ve read or seen people have some very positive comments. I don’t know a lot about the magnetic change that you would use for that type of polish, which I need to order one of, so I’ll try that as well but overall, I was very impressed. Thank you.
Great kit with everything you need and works out excellent value too!
I am very pleased with this product. Using the complete gel nail kit and builder gel, my nails have not chipped at all in almost 3 weeks, which is unheard of for my soft, very bendable ails.
Cute kit. Easy to use!

Cute kit. Easy to use!
I read reviews on S&L and thought I'd try it. Not disappointed at all. The colours are dense and easy to apply. I particularly like the no-wipe top coat, and the soak-off gel which saves using all those annoying foils. Fabulous!
The starter kit has everything I needed. It was easy to use and one week later my nails still look great.
I polished my nails over a week ago and they still look fantastic. It was my first time doing my own gels, I had to do the left hand twice, I got the polish too thick the first time. I watched a couple u tube videos and improved for the right hand. Very, very, well pleased with ease of use. I plan to order more polish colors.
Love these products for at home gel nails! I tried another company's at home kit, and found that their product started chipping on the first day, and never really looked glossy. The one time I had an issue with the gel remover appearing old and dried up, they quickly sent out a replacement for no extra charge. My one request is to add a color that is a true periwinkle---- a violet-tinged light blue. The company has been responsive to input and kept me in the loop during the recent tariff changes. Great personal service and super product that typically lasts 10 -14 days plus, or until I get bored with the color, and I am very hard on my nails.
Facile à appliquer et encore beau après 1 semaine.
Solid kit with everything you need. The polish lasts and the lamp is surprisingly powerful.
This kit is a great way to learn to do your own nails. I already had the nail dremel so now I can learn to do my own nails and save money .
I’m enjoying how easy it’s to work with thanks
This was my first time doing gel nails myself and this kit made it very easy. It has everything you need to get started, including the one free colour. I just wish I’d picked a better colour, as it was not true to the shade displayed or the description. But the kit itself is excellent and will last many applications.
Good quality gel starter kit. This was my first time attempting gel nails. It came out well, the product applied nice and glossy and the curing worked perfectly.
I initially thought the kit didn’t work properly and was disappointed. However, after reaching out to support, they walked me through the steps, and I got much better results! It turns out it’s a bit of a learning process, but with their guidance, I’m really happy with how it works now!
Love that I could choose a free color from over 100 beautiful options! I picked 62 Bulls eye!
I've read lots of reviews online of other at home gel manicure kits that don't live up to what they promoted, but this one does.
I painted my nails 2 weeks ago with this kit and it still hasn't started peeling, so I'm super happy with the results
The curing light seemed defective at first However, customer support was amazing, they quickly sent a replacement light, and my curing experience has been much better since! Overall, a great kit with fantastic support!
I was SO excited to receive this kit after doing tons of research! The full-size cuticle oil, polish, and extras were a generous touch. While I had some challenges with the curing light, I’m hopeful with some adjustments, I’ll get the perfect finish. The kit’s quality is impressive overall!
Arrived late but it was the best gift I could've received from my hubby
Love that this kit is cute and pink, but it also lets you both apply and remove your gel nails. Most kits don't provide the supplies to remove your gel nails!
I wish it was as cheap as Amazon
The lamp felt a bit small for my hands, but the kit did its job well
Like how it was designed nicely and how everthing was organized
The kit had everything I needed, from application to removal. It’s super convenient, but I’d recommend waiting for a discount to get even more value!
I love that this kit came with instructions that were super clear and easy to follow, making it a great starter kit for beginners like me trying to do gel nails at home.
Most of the other starter kits in the market don't come with gel polish removal tools, only application. This one does. Bonus points for being a complete kit!
I'm a travel manicurist and I bring this with me to every client. Safe to say I'm in love with this kit
UV lamp cured my nails perfectly. So far my gel nails have stayed on for 3 weeks and I'm so obsessed!!
Followed instructions inside and it worked perfectly!
Beautifully packaged and looked great as a gift for my friend who loves doing gel nails!

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my gel polish peeling off so quickly?
Why is my gel polish peeling off so quickly?
Peeling almost always comes from prep or curing, not the polish itself. The five most common causes:
1. Oil left on the nail plate. Natural nail oil is the number one cause of lifting. Buff the surface lightly, then wipe every nail with an alcohol pad and don't touch them again before applying base coat.
2. The free edge wasn't capped. Run a thin swipe of base, color, and top coat along the tip of each nail. Uncapped edges lift within days, and once one corner catches, the whole nail peels.
3. Gel touching the cuticle or sidewalls. Gel needs to sit on the nail plate, not the skin. Leave a hairline gap around the cuticle. Anything that touches skin has nothing to bond to and starts lifting immediately.
4. Coats applied too thick. A thick coat leaves uncured gel underneath, which stays soft and peels away in a sheet. Two thin coats always outlast one thick one.
5. Under-curing. Cure each layer for the full 60 seconds under an LED/UV lamp, hand flat and fully inside. Thumbs are the usual culprit, they sit at an angle and get less light, so cure them separately.
If your gel peels off in one clean piece rather than chipping, that points to prep. If it stays tacky or dents easily, that points to curing.
Why do my nails sting or feel hot under the lamp?
Why do my nails sting or feel hot under the lamp?
The heat comes from the gel, not the lamp. Curing is a chemical reaction that releases heat as it happens, and the thicker the layer, the more heat comes off at once. It usually hits a few seconds into the cure, peaks, and passes.
The fix is almost always thinner coats. Two paper-thin layers of color cure cooler and last longer than one thick one, and a thick base coat is the most common cause of a sharp spike. If you have naturally thin or heavily buffed nails you'll feel it more than most people. Less nail plate between the reaction and the nail bed.
If a spike does hit mid-cure, slide your hand out for a few seconds and put it straight back in and ensure it's fully cured. Under-curing is the single most common cause of gel failing early.
If one specific finger burns every time while the others don't, that's usually gel sitting on skin at the sidewall rather than a lamp problem.
Why do my nails feel bendy right after I take the gel off?
Why do my nails feel bendy right after I take the gel off?
Nails that feel soft or bendy immediately after gel removal are almost always dehydrated, not damaged. Removing gel strips oil and water out of the nail plate, and a dry nail flexes far more than a conditioned one. It firms back up on its own within about a day.
How to tell dehydrated from actually thin. Dehydrated nails feel bendy but look normal — same thickness, same colour, and they're back to normal by the next morning. Thinned nails stay flexible after a few days, and you can usually see it: the plate looks more translucent than it used to, or you can make out the shape of the nail bed through it. If they're firm again tomorrow, nothing went wrong.
Why the S&L method is gentler on this. The S&L Easy Gel Remover is brushed on rather than soaked. It's still acetone-based (that's what dissolves gel) but your nails and the skin around them spend a fraction of the time in contact with solvent compared with wrapping fingertips in acetone-soaked cotton and foil for fifteen minutes. Apply the cuticle oil from the kit as soon as you've wiped the last of the gel off.
What actually thins nails is mechanical, not chemical. Filing too far into the nail plate during prep, buffing aggressively, or scraping cured gel off with a metal tool when it hasn't released.
On taking breaks. Worth doing, but not for the reason you usually hear. Nails don't breathe; the plate is dead keratin and gets everything it needs from the nail bed underneath. A break helps because it stops the filing-and-buffing cycle and gives the plate time to rehydrate and firm up.
